DevDigital Launches Kernel Equity: A Firm Not A Fund
DevDigital has announced the launch of Kernel Equity - a spinoff that will play a unique role in Nashville’s venture ecosystem. Leveraging DevDigital’s legacy capabilities, Kernel’s core competence will be the seamless integration of technology with startups, small firms, and turnarounds.
Headed by Peter Marcum (DevDigital Co-Founder) and Todd McCullough (Ampersand Partner), Kernel will start with 8 companies in the portfolio across several industries, with some majority and some minority interests. The one common theme is the vital importance of technology to each venture.
To celebrate the launch of Kernel Equity, community movers and shakers gathered at the DevDigital offices on March 1st. Head over to The Nashville Post to see pictures from the event.
